Thanks to our sustainability program, Solo Sunny Days, we have contributed so far to the installation of over 437.8kW of solar power in community-owned projects around Australia. A total of
1107 solar panels installed that would generate enough energy to power more than 200 homes for an entire year.
On our day to day, we are always looking at ways to minimise our impact by reducing the amount of energy consumption at the warehouse, office & stores and by offsetting 100% of the electricity with renewable energy becoming carbon neutral.

11. Capri Theatre (Adelaide, SA) - 167 Solar Panels, 71.8 kW
The Capri is an independent not-for-profit cinema run by volunteers. Heritage listed and housing a unique world-class theatre pipe organ. The profit from every ticket go back into the restoration of this iconic building and the WurliTzer organ.
10. Torquay Community House (Torquay, VIC) - 25 Solar Panels, 10 kW
Torquay Community House is a Neighbourhood House located on Wadawurrung Country. They offer programs, activities and initiatives to support a connected healthy, inclusive and sustainable community.
9. Manjimup Community Center (Manjimup, WA) - 35 Solar Panels, 15 kW
This is a not-for-profit organisation that is independently owned and operated by their local community. This center undertake community, business and economic development activities. Their Mantra: "working together to strengthen our community"
8. Believe Housing (Adelaide, SA) - 180 Solar Panels, 75 kW
Believe Housing facilitate social and affordable housing throughout South Australia and support around 5,000 tenants who are mainly people on low incomes, including those who have experienced homelessness, young and older people, First Nations people, individuals living with disability and mental health issues, survivors of domestic violence. Their Mantra: "It's time to believe in a better future"
7. Freshwater Creek Steiner School (Torquay, VIC) - 49 Solar Panels, 20 kW
Geelong Sustainability together with its donors has helped the school realise a long held dream to generate our own solar electricity and reduce their environmental impact and CO2 emissions.
6. Merriwa Industries (Wangaratta, VIC) - 200 Solar Panels, 100 kW
Based in Wangaratta in North East Victoria, Merriwa is recognised as one of Australia’s leading supported employment enterprises. They have a team of over 350 employees of which over half have a diagnosed disability, working across 5 business divisions; Packaging, Engineered Wood Products (Timbers), Park Lane Nursery and Garden Centre, and Child, Community Services. Their Purpose is to provide an environment which encourages people with disabilities to reach their potential while delivering quality products and services to our customers and clients.
5. Warrendale Community Children’s Centre (Adelaide, SA) - 40 Solar Panels, 14 kW
Warradale Community Children’s Centre has a strong emphasis on maintaining a play-based program while consistently building strong connections with people, place and the environment. It boldly recognises the traditional landowners and custodians of Australia. The installation of 40 solar panels to this project is also the achievement of entwining renewable energy into the education of our youngest populations.
4. Walpole Community Centre (Walpole, WA) - 54 Solar Panels, 20 kW
Walpole is a small isolated town on the South Coast of Western Australia, with a population of 500. Sixty percent of the population is over 60 years of age and depend on the community centre for many reasons. Now, thanks to your contribution they will enjoy the facilities while producing clean energy. Another step towards a more sustainable future.
3. Tarremah Steiner School (Huntingfield, TAS) - 303 solar panels, 100 kW
This project of 100kW solar installation for Tarremah Steiner School in Tasmania is a rather special project to help them become a model sustainability school, which has enthusiastic support from students and their community. They then hope to inspire other schools to follow suit.
2. Woonona Bulli (Wollongong, NSW) - 19 solar panels, 6.6 kW
Open to the community as a space to learn and develop cultural & artistic skills and also currently developing a charity to include free mental health and environmental awareness programs.
1. Coorabell Hall (Byron Bay, NSW) - 35 solar panels, 5.5 kW
It is volunteer-run for community, arts & cultural pursuits and has been providing a community meeting space for over 100 years.
