Promoter
The promoter is OTTWAY (the Promoter). These Terms and Conditions apply to the OTTWAY Round The World Giveaway (Competition).
By entering, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Competition Overview
The Competition offers one (1) prize per draw.
2. Prize Details
Prize
The prize is one (1) travel voucher valued at $6,000 AUD (Voucher) issued by the Promoter for redemption with RoundAbout Travel, part of Complex Travel Group (Prize).
Currency
All voucher values are stated in Australian Dollars (AUD).
What the voucher is intended to cover
The Voucher is intended to contribute toward the cost of two (2) economy class round the world airfares, typically structured as a multi stop itinerary (for example, up to five (5) stops). Pricing and itinerary rules depend on airline and fare availability at the time of booking.
Indicative pricing only
Round the world airfares can start from approximately $2,600 AUD per person in economy. This is indicative only and pricing varies significantly based on route, season, airline, availability, taxes, surcharges, and fare rules.
If the total cost is higher or lower than the voucher
If the total booking cost exceeds $6,000 AUD, the winner is responsible for paying the difference directly to RoundAbout Travel.
If the total booking cost is less than $6,000 AUD, any remaining balance will be handled in accordance with RoundAbout Travel’s voucher and booking policies (for example, remaining credit may stay as a travel credit until expiry).
What is not included
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the Voucher does not include costs such as:

passports, visas, vaccinations and travel insurance

accommodation, meals, transfers, activities and spending money
-
airline seat selection, baggage upgrades or excess baggage fees
-
change fees, cancellation fees, service fees, or agency fees charged by airlines or RoundAbout Travel
-
any other costs not expressly included in the Voucher value
3. Entry and Participation
Responsibility to review terms
Entrants are responsible for reading and understanding these Terms and Conditions at the time of entry and participation. Any failure by the Promoter to enforce a right, restriction, or requirement under these Terms and Conditions does not constitute a waiver of that right, restriction, or requirement.
Entry compliance
Entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions are invalid and ineligible.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant and cancel or revoke any prize awarded if it is later discovered that the entrant or entry was ineligible or non compliant.
Verification and disqualification
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including identity, age, and place of residence) and reserves the right to disqualify any individual who breaches these Terms and Conditions, tampers with the entry process, or engages in unlawful, improper, misleading, or disruptive conduct that jeopardises the fair conduct of the Competition.
4. Departure and Return Requirement
Where travel must start and finish
The round the world itinerary must depart from and return to Australia or New Zealand, as required under typical round the world fare structures and rules set by RoundAbout Travel and participating airlines. Some fare types may require departing and returning to the same city.
If the winner is based overseas
If the winner is located outside Australia or New Zealand, the winner is responsible for arranging and paying all costs to travel to and from their chosen departure and return airport in Australia or New Zealand, including any domestic flights, international flights, accommodation, transfers, visas, passports, and related expenses. These additional costs are not covered by the Voucher.
5. RoundAbout Travel Rules Apply
Bookings made using the Voucher are subject to RoundAbout Travel’s round the world airfare rules and conditions, as well as the applicable airline conditions of carriage and fare rules. These rules vary by airline and ticket type and may include requirements such as direction of travel, stop limits, routing constraints, time limits, and change restrictions.

6. Redemption and Restrictions

The Voucher is non transferable, not redeemable for cash, and may not be resold.

The Voucher may only be redeemed via RoundAbout Travel and cannot be redeemed directly with airlines.

Booking and travel are subject to availability and confirmation by RoundAbout Travel and the relevant airlines.

The winner is responsible for ensuring they can legally travel, including holding valid passports and any required visas.
7. Winner Notification, Acceptance and Redraw
Winner notification
Winners will be contacted via email and/or phone within one (1) business day of the draw. The Promoter is not responsible for unread, undelivered, spam filtered, or misdirected communications or incorrect contact details.
Prize acceptance window
The winner must confirm acceptance of the Prize within 48 hours of first contact from the Promoter.
Redraw
If the winner does not confirm acceptance within the 48 hour period, the winner forfeits the Prize and the Promoter may select an alternative winner in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
8. Use of Winner’s Name and Image
By entering, entrants consent that if they win, the Promoter may use the winner’s name, social handle, likeness, image, and any statements made by the winner about the Prize for promotional and marketing purposes, in any media, worldwide, for an unlimited period, without remuneration. The winner agrees to comply with any reasonable direction of the Promoter in relation to this clause.
9. Competition Delays, Disruptions and Changes
Delays or disruptions
If any aspect of the Competition is delayed, disrupted, or cannot run as planned due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control (including war, terrorism, disaster, pandemic, public health orders, computer virus, network failure, tampering, fraud, or technical failures), the Promoter may cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Competition, or invalidate affected entries, subject to any required approvals under applicable laws and regulations.
Competition amendments
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these Terms and Conditions where reasonably necessary, including to address unforeseen circumstances, operational issues, or legal requirements. Any changes will be published where reasonable in the same place these Terms and Conditions are made available.
10. Liability
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, death, or any loss or damage (including indirect, special, or consequential loss or loss of profits) arising from, in connection with, or resulting from this Competition or the Prize, including the acceptance or use of the Prize.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
11. Privacy and Personal Information
By entering, entrants consent to the collection, use, and storage of their personal information by the Promoter for the purpose of administering the Competition, contacting entrants, and delivering the Prize.
Entrants also consent to the Promoter using their details for future promotional and marketing purposes, including contacting entrants via the details provided. Entrants may opt out of marketing at any time.
At an entrant’s request, the Promoter will remove personal information from its databases to the extent required or permitted by law and subject to any legal record keeping requirements.
12. General
The Promoter’s decisions regarding the Competition are final, subject to any rights available under applicable law.
